I’m very excited to share with you this behind the scenes video of one of my favourite weddings of 2014. The wedding was at Chelsea Town Hall, followed by a reception at MC Motors, a quirky industrial venue in Dalston, the heart of East London. Originally a workshop, the venue is now home to a fabulous collection of vintage furniture, the perfect accessories to contrast with a modern urban wedding. The bride and groom are some of the loveliest people I know and the day went perfectly, thanks to the meticulous planning of Charley from London Bride. The bride was gorgeous and the Groom's speech was one of the best I've heard, and had everyone, including the Groom, in tears. The wedding was full of details like gold sprayed cars and animals instead of a traditional table plan, a macaron bar, an ombré blue wedding cake by Konditor & Cook, and beautiful floral installations by Bo Boutique. All stationery was by Ever After Press, and we combined a watercolour theme as a nod to the brides connections with Greece, with an understated serif typeface, to keep the look and feel of the invitations understated, yet modern and minimal. This wedding is soon to be featured in all its glory on Style Me Pretty, captured by the talented Chloé of Caught the Light, but until then sit back, grab a café au lait and enjoy this insight into what really goes on behind the scenes during the setting up of a real life wedding! Best enjoyed with the music turned up!
