OK, so I have a confession to make. I have a secret obsession...and it’s with a form of limestone. Marble in all of its varied forms has been popping up all over the internet and design world for the last couple of years, whether it’s as a background on Tumblr or Instagram, or in a beautiful interiors shoot on Pinterest. Carrera marble is my personal favourite. Its sleek, cool white surface with delicate variations in subtly nuanced greys exudes understated luxe. It's just an incredibly beautiful natural material.

As a graphic designer, I've always taken inspiration from design trends in other forms of design, but interiors hold a special place in my heart. I have long loved minimal, white, scandinavian inspired styling, and carrera marble’s raw natural beauty is a natural partner to that aesthetic. And when marble combines with copper or brass? Be still my beating heart.

Recently the trend for marble has been appearing in other areas outside of interiors, like fashion and jewellery. But is this a trend that you can incorporate into the styling of your wedding? Whilst I wouldn't choose marble nail art for a wedding, if your venue features any marble, or even if you just love this trend like me, there are a few ways you can successfully integrate it into the styling of your day.

Jewellery featuring marble would make the loveliest bridesmaid gift, guaranteed to be worn many times post wedding, or another option would be to use your stationery to subtly reference marble. The new Ever After Press Elodie suite features a delicate marble design which can be foiled in metallic silver, gold, or rose gold, for an understated, elegant and luxe feel. We can also custom make matching items like envelope liners with a marble design or any other accompanying elements you might need.

It’s always great to find an interesting and unusual way to display escort cards, and these geometric holders would definitely be a talking point. Finish things off with a beautifully styled ceremony venue in a neutral palette with some marble bowls for relaxed family style dining, and you’re good to go!
